67th Mechanized Brigade is a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
The brigade was formed in November 2022 on the basis of the 7th Center of Special Operations as part of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, which in itself was created on the basis of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, a paramilitary branch associated with the political party Right Sector.
The brigade joined all combat units of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, including some reserve sotnyas, under one single unified command within the structure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In April 2024, after the unit had been in prolonged combat in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar, an investigation was initiated against the unit commanders. The core of the brigade, being made up by members of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps or otherwise had affiliations to Right Sector, was disbanded, and many soldiers transferred to other units.
In October 2024, Lt. Col. Oleksandr Polyaiev became the commander of the brigade, succeeding Col. Roman Korenyuk. In late November 2024, the brigade finalized its reformation effort, aiming to distance itself from its Right Sector and Ukrainian Volunteer Corps identity, including the introduction of a new insignia and a rebranding effort across its social media platforms.
In December 2024, it was known that the 1st Rifle Battalion of the brigade had departed in order to join the newly formed 159th Mechanized Brigade, becoming its 1st Mechanized Battalion.
