Polyaiev becomes the commander of 67th Mechanized Brigade

The now former DUK brigade has a new commander.

The 67th Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine’s Ground Forces has appointed a new commander, with Lt. Col. Oleksandr Polyaiev succeeding Col. Roman Korenyuk. The brigade’s official representatives announced the change on social media.

The official reason for the leadership change has not been disclosed, though it is likely linked to the ongoing effort to remove Right Sector last bits of influence within the 67th Mechanized Brigade. Notably, during the combat flag handover ceremony, neither the outgoing nor incoming commander wore the brigade’s official insignia.
