15th Army Corps

15th Army Corps is a combined arms unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

The unit was established in early March 2025, as part of the reform effort across the entire Ukrainian Defense Forces to shift to a new Corps-Brigade system.

In March 2025, it had been discovered that the corps was in the process of formation, being revealed for the first time on MilitaryLand. The formation had also received its own unique insignia, but was later rejected in the process of adopting it as the corps chevron.

In June 2025, the corps would adopt a new insignia, but it was later replaced with a compromise between the initial and new designs. In July 2025, it became known that the 129th Heavy Mechanized Brigade would join the corps, which was initially known as the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade.

In October, the commander of the corps was revealed to be Colonel Ruslan Shevchuk, holding a promising service history, being the former commander of two highly well-regarded brigades, namely the 58th Motorized and 93rd Mechanized Brigades.

It would later be revealed that the combat composition of the corps entailed the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, the 44th Artillery Brigade, 143rd, 144th, and 158th Mechanized Brigade’s, as well as the 434th Unmanned Systems Battalion.

Insignia

The insignia depicts a chevron with a green canvas and a yellow border. Its central imagery depicts the corps designation in Roman numerals, combining yellow and white, with the peak of the chevron containing a red quadrant, topped with a white Cossack cross in the center.
