New Insignia Unveiled for 18th Army Corps

In late March 2025, we reported on the formation of three new army corps. This included the 15th, 18th, and 20th Army Corps. Recently, we have discovered and confirmed the newly revealed insignia for the 18th Army Corps (18-й армійський корпус). From all the known Army Corps, which we also reported on, there are still four units remaining to reveal their insignia. It is expected that the majority of these will finally be revealed within the next few months.

Insignia of the new 18th Army Corps, redrawn by Davomme

The insignia features a consistent chevron style with the rest of the ground forces, split in two, with red on the left and green on the right. The central elements of the insignia feature a crossed Shashka and Bulava, symbolising command, leadership, authority, and military power. Above these weapons is a Silver Cross Pattée, and below is a silver eight-pointed star. It bears a significant resemblance to the 16th Army Corps insignia, with similar coloring and appearance. The emblem was redrawn by our contributor davomme, and released exclusively first on MiltiaryLand.

We will continue to provide updates on the ongoing formation of Army Corps in the Ukrainian Military as well as their composition. Stay tuned!

May I ask a question, why does this shashka have such a massive cross-guard?! Or rather, why is it even a shashka?
