About Unit

26th River Boat Division is the first unit of the Ukrainian Navy’s River Flotilla, formed in spring 2022 to defend Kyiv. Since its formation, the division has actively participated in both defensive and offensive operations in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia directions, conducting landings and evacuations of personnel, weapons, and equipment across water obstacles. Equipped with Sea Ark Dauntless and Sherp the Shuttle boats, along with the flagship Bucha, the division controls the northern Dnipro River, protects strategic sites, and contributes to the capital’s air defense.
