Large prisoner exchange between Ukraine and separatists

Ukraine and self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republic swapped prisoners on December 29. They were later transported to Kyiv to meet relatives.

Formed in 2014 as 17th Territorial Defense Battalion. In late 2014, reformed under the command of 57th Motorized Brigade.
