42nd Motorized Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
The unit was established in March 2014, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine through its illegal annexation of Crimea in February 2014. It was designated as the 42nd Territorial Defense Battalion “Rukh Oporu”, and was eventually assigned under the command of the 57th Motorized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
In September 2025, the battalion became defunct and was reformed as a linear battalion, becoming the 3rd Motorized Battalion of the 57th Motorized Brigade.

Here you can find the last known structure of the unit, including their insignia if available.
