About Unit

Insignia

The brigade’s symbol is a black bird in attack mode, clutching a golden arrow in its talons. This emblem not only represents the unit’s operational focus but also carries deep symbolism, emphasizing the continuity of Ukrainian military traditions. A black bird was used in the insignia of Ukrainian aviation during the First Liberation Struggles of 1917–1921. Additionally, a black bird is featured on the coat of arms of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, where the brigade is stationed.
