New Commander Appointed to Lead 78th Air Assault Brigade

The 78th Air Assault Brigade of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces has appointed a new commander, Colonel Vladislav Tsiba. The announcement was made through the brigade’s official social media pages.

Tsiba rose through the ranks from platoon commander to commander of the 90th Airmobile Battalion. He also served in the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade and, from the fall of 2024, as deputy commander of the 77th Airmobile Brigade.

He has been awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class, for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
