The 90th separate airmobile battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine Senior Lieutenant Ivan Zubkov is a formation of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, based in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, and part of the 81st Airmobile Brigade since its creation in September of 2014.
90th Airmobile Battalion combat path began with the defense of Donetsk airport, the cities of Avdiivka and Shchastya. Since the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the battalion’s servicemen have held the defense in the cities of Izyum, Seversko-Donetsk, Rubizhne, liberated Svyatogorsk, Yarova, Drobysheve and Lyman.
From then the battalion moved to the defence of the town of Siversk, held for over two years with great success under 81st Brigade.
