77th Airmobile Brigade

77th Airmobile Brigade is a unit of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

The brigade was formed in the first year of the full-scale invasion, in October 2022, likely in anticipation of greater Ukrainian offensive capabilities the next year, and the expansion of the Ukrainian Elite – the Air Assault Forces, scaling up its combat effectiveness.

In the winter of that year, the brigade began fighting in the Bakhmut direction, in Soledar, helping to defend against the onslaught of Russian Forces and the Wagner Mercenary Group.

On August 24, 2024, the brigade received the honorary title “Naddniprianska”.

In September 2024, the brigade was holding defensive positions in the Kupyansk direction. In March 2025, Andriy Biletskyi, the former commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, now commander of the 3rd Army Corps, stated that while the 77th Airmobile Brigade faced a challenging path, it had reached a high level, being a professional combat unit.

In April 2025, during the military-wide reforms into the Corps-Brigade structure, the brigade was permanently integrated within the structure of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

Insignia

The insignia is set on a traditional shield with a deep red field. At its center are two vertical golden axes, symbolizing strength, engineering, and destructive capability. Flanking them are mirrored silver wings, emphasizing mobility and speed, and reflecting the unit’s ability to rapidly project force.
