29th Heavy Mechanized Brigade Insignia Unveiled

On September 27, 2025, MilitaryLand reported on the formation of two new Heavy Mechanized Brigades within the Ukrainian Ground Forces. Both were being formed on the basis of two existing formations, being the 12th and 29th Tank Battalion’s, the latter of which we reported in April 2025 to have been discovered.

Recently, it has been discovered that the newly formed 29th Heavy Mechanized Brigade has unveiled its insignia. The insignia has been redrawn in high-resolution by our contributor Davomme, and is first published on MilitaryLand.

The insignia features a traditional chevron design characteristic of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, with both the canvas and border rendered in black. A golden edge frames the chevron’s border, providing tonal contrast and visual definition. At the center, an aggressive bull conveys ferocity and readiness, accented with golden highlights and a glaring red eye intended to strike fear into adversaries.

The unit is still in the process of formation, and will be attached to one of the newly formed Army Corps within the Ukrainian Ground Forces. There are currently two Army Corps that remain to be assigned a specific Heavy Mechanized Brigade, being the 12th and 14th Army Corps, with both units being formed in the Ukrainian capital – Kyiv.
