About Unit

Revanche Tactical Group is a unit of the International Legion of HUR MO.

The unit was formed as the Revanche Battalion on February 28, 2022, following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The unit consisted of several volunteers who had taken up arms to defend Ukraine, as well as former Special Forces veterans from the time of the war in Donbas.

They were first deployed to Kyiv Oblast on March 2, 2022, to counter the Russian occupiers’ advance on the capital. They saw action at the Battle of Hostomel and in the surrounding areas, where they helped to halt the advance of Russian forces. On March 28, 2022, the battalion’s reconnaissance unit liberated the village of Rudnytske in Kyiv Oblast.

Some time after, they helped participate in the liberation of Sumy Oblast in April 2022, as well as Kharkiv Oblast, including the liberation of Vilkhivka alongside volunteers of the Kraken Special Unit. Later that month, they were deployed to the southern front to carry out combat missions in the Kherson direction.

In July 2023, the unit was expanded into the Revanche Tactical Group and began to recruit new members urgently. A year later, the unit would find themselves deployed to the city of Chasiv Yar, with the commander Bohdan Khodakovsky reporting that the unit was defending and preventing Russian forces from crossing the Siverskyi Donetsk-Donbas canal.

In August 2025, it officially joined the structure of the International Legion of HUR MO, rather than being directly subordinated to the Main Directorate of Intelligence Command.

Bohdan Khodakovskiy

Khodakovskyi founded the Revanche Battalion in February 2022, following the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
