About Unit

“ACHILLES” began as a volunteer rifle company in the 128th Battalion of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade on February 24, 2022. It later integrated drones for reconnaissance and artillery support, participating in the Kharkiv counteroffensive alongside the 92nd Assault Brigade.

On January 26, 2023, it became one of the first strike UAV companies in the 92nd Assault Brigade. Due to its high combat effectiveness, it was later expanded into a battalion.

Recognizing its success, in January 2025, “ACHILLES” was upgraded to the 429th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems within the Ground Forces of Ukraine.

In September 5, 2025, the regiment joined the Unmanned Systems Forces.

In January of 2026, the regiment was expanded to a brigade.
