About Unit

“Achilles” was established as the 4th rifle company in the 128th Battalion of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade on February 24, 2022. It later started integrating drones for reconnaissance and artillery support, participating in the Kharkiv counteroffensive attached to the 92nd Mechanized Brigade.

On January 26, 2023, the unit became one of the first strike UAV companies in the ranks of the 92nd Brigade. Due to its high combat effectiveness, it was later expanded into a battalion of unmanned systems.

In January 2025, the battalion was expanded and reorganized, leaving 92nd Assault Brigade and becoming officially the 429th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems, within the Ground Forces of Ukraine.

In September 5, 2025, the regiment joined the Unmanned Systems Forces, and in January of 2026, was expanded to a brigade.
