Field Artillery
406th Artillery Brigade is a unit of the Ukrainian Naval Forces. At the time of Ukraine’s independence, the brigade was part of the Soviet Black Sea Fleet, stationed in Crimea. Since 1993, it has been part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the annexation of Crimea, soldiers who remained loyal to Ukraine reformed the brigade on the mainland. It took part in combat operations in Donetsk region starting in 2015 and continued conducting large-scale artillery missions in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
