About Unit

18th Marine Battalion is a separate battalion of the 30th Marine Corps.

The unit was formed in 2014 as 18th Battalion of Territorial Defense. In November 2014, the battalion was reformatted into 18th Motorized Battalion under the command of 28th Mechanized Brigade, and in 2018 the unit was transferred to the 35th Marine Brigade and reformed into the 18th Marine Battalion.

In August 2025, a anti-tank battalion was formed on its basis.
