Special Forces
The 3rd Separate Special Purpose Detachment carried out combat and special operations during the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions between 2014 and 2017, and also took part in the defense of Mariupol.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the 3rd Special Purpose Detachment has been conducting combat missions in Odesa, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv regions. These missions have taken place in the settlements of Svyatohirs’k, Bohorodychne, Sosnove, Tetyanivka, Dolyna, Starodubivka, Pyskunivka, Brusivka, Dibrova, Enerhodar, Bakhmut, Verbivka, Balakliya, Kup’yans’k, Stelmakhivka, Kreminna, Kopani, and Robotyne.
From June to July 2022, the unit was engaged in combat operations near Bohorodychne.
Since September 2022, the unit has carried out missions across the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia fronts.
Additionally, from August 2022 to January 2023, the unit’s diving group conducted combat operations under the command of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence (HUR MO) near Enerhodar.
