About Unit

6th Motorized Battalion was a separate unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. The battalion was formed in May 2014 as 6th Battalion of Territorial Defense Zbruch from the residents of Ternopil Oblast. In November 2014, the unit was reformatted into a motorized battalion under the command of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade.

In 2016, guards battalion of 19th Missile Brigade was formed on its basis and the unit ceased to exist as a separate entity.
