55th Separate Rifle Battalion is a military unit of Ground Forces of Ukraine formed in June 8, 2022. Since 2024 the battalion has been assigned to the 63rd Mechanized Brigade.
On January 12, 2025, in the town of Yampil, Donetsk region, the battalion commander, Mykhailo Koval, and the chief of artillery, Volodymyr Kovalskyi died.
In August 2025, the battalion was reformed into the linear rifle battalion of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade and ceased to exist as a separate entity.
