About Unit

532nd Security and Maintenance Battalion is a military unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2002 as the 532nd Repair and Recovery Battalion.

After the outbreak of the war in eastern Ukraine in 2014, the unit was involved in the ATO, where it carried out the repair and restoration of military equipment damaged during combat operations.

In 2018, the unit was expanded from a into a regiment and became part of the Operational Command East.

In 2026, the regiment was reorganized into a Security and Maintenance Battalion and placed under the command of 18th Army Corps.
