About Unit

43rd Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized unit of Ukrainian Ground Forces. The brigade was formed in 2023 on the basis of a mechanized battalion from 93rd Mechanized Brigade. The personnel underwent intensive training at the training grounds abroad, namely Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Insignia

The central element of the brigade’s insignia is a black rampant bull—symbolizing resilience, courage, determination, strength, and fighting spirit. This depiction has been historically used on the coats of arms of Ukrainian Cossack regiments, reflecting the legacy of Ukrainian military traditions. The shield has a blue border, a color characteristic of mechanized troops.
