About Unit

Serpent Company, also known as Companhia Serpente in Portuguese, is a linear unit of the 1st Rifleman International Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade.

The company is the only Portuguese-speaking unit in Ukraine, being exclusive to the brigade. The unit is composed of Portuguese-speaking fighters, predominantly from Latin American countries like Brazil, and has been actively recruiting since January 2025.

Anna Hrechishkina

A renowned solo world traveller, she returned to Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, where she joined a volunteer battalion. In June 2023, she began to serve alongside a combat unit known as “Group Brazilian” – a contingent of Brazilian volunteers fighting in Ukraine.
