The battalion was formed in 2022 in Kryvyi Rih as part of the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade. The battalion participated in battles throughout Ukraine.
In 2025, when the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade was reorganized into a heavy mechanized brigade, the battalion was converted into a line rifle battalion within the brigade and ceased to exist as an independent unit.
