The battalion was formed in 2022 in Kryvyi Rih as part of the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade. The battalion participated in battles throughout Ukraine.
In 2025 with the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade being reorganized into a Heavy Mechanized Brigade the battalion was reorganized into a linear rifle battalion of the brigade and ceased to exist as a separate unit.
