Rocket Artillery
107th Rocket Artillery Brigade is a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the 107th Rocket Artillery Brigade, as part of the Soviet Army, was transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces after Ukraine gained its independence.
In 2003, the brigade received Tochka-U missiles.
In 2005, the brigade was reformed and downsized as the 107th Rocket Artillery Regiment. In 2008, the regiment received the honorary title Kremenchuk, a homage to its former garrison from October 1967 when it was attached to the 6th Guards Tank Army as part of the Soviet Army.
In November 2015, like other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the regiment lost its Soviet titles and awards. On January 1, 2019, the regiment was reformed and expanded to its former self, becoming a brigade again.
Following the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the brigade has participated across several directions. In 2023, as part of the Ukrainian offensive aimed at retaking Melitopol, the brigade provided support to advancing forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
On December 6, 2024, the brigade received the Award For Courage and Bravery from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Insignia
The insignia displays a traditional chevron with an olive green canvas and a red border. At its center is a stylized golden dragon in a rampant pose, with wings spread and tail curved downward. The dragon features red accents on its tongue, claws, and dorsal spines.
