The Day of the Marine Corps of Ukraine

On the Day of the Marine Corps of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with service members and their families, presented the nation’s highest state awards, and bestowed combat flags, Ribbons of the Order of Courage and Bravery, and a ribbon for an honorary title to unit commanders.
The President highlighted Ukraine’s pride in the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrogradsky, the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky, the 37th and 38th Separate Marine Brigades—with the latter bearing the name of Hetman Petro Sahaidachny—as well as all units of the 30th Marine Corps.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented battle flags to the commanders of the 40th Coastal Defense Brigade and the 67th Artillery Battalion of the 406th Artillery Brigade.
The Head of State also awarded Ribbons of the Distinction “For Courage and Bravery” to the commanders of the 36th and 37th Separate Marine Brigades, and presented the honorary title ribbon “named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny” to the 38th Separate Marine Brigade.
