Promotions and awards assigned on the Day of Statehood

On the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day and the Day of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus – Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the nation’s highest state awards to Ukrainian soldiers, including the title of Hero of Ukraine. He handed orders to the families of fallen heroes, presented battle flags, decorations “For Courage and Bravery,” and honorary ribbons to unit commanders.

Combat Units

• 1st Assault Regiment of the Ground Forces received its battle flag.
• 12th Tank Battalion of the Ground Forces received its battle flag.
• 24th Regiment of the National Guard received the honorary name named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny.
• 31st Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces received the honorary name named after Lieutenant General Leonid Stupnytskyi.
• 36th Regiment of the National Guard received For Courage and Bravery award.
• 110th Territorial Defense Brigade received the honorary name Khortytsia.
• 241st Territorial Defense Brigade received For Courage and Bravery award.

Commanders

• Colonel Yuriy Andrienko, the deputy commander of the 30th Marine Corps, received military rank of Brigadier General.
• Brigadier General Mykhailo Sydorenko, the commander of Operational Command South, received military rank of Major General.
• Colonel Anton Harbuz, the Head of the Main Commander Center, received military rank of Brigadier General.
