Changes in the Composition of the 9th Army Corps

The 9th Army Corps of the Ground Forces is currently undergoing structural changes as part of the broader transformation to a corps-based system. Recently, the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 58th Motorized Brigade were reassigned from the corps to their new respective formations. Now, according to official social media announcements from the corps, it has been revealed which units will be newly integrated into the 9th Army Corps.
The 5th Heavy Mechanized Brigade has been transferred to the 9th Army Corps from the 10th Army Corps. This makes it the second heavy brigade within the corps, as the 4th Tank Brigade appears to be remaining with the formation at the time of publishing.
Additionally, the 153rd Mechanized Brigade, which was fully formed last year, has now joined the 9th Army Corps. It is not the only newly assigned mechanized brigade, as the 32nd Mechanized Brigade has also been placed under its command.
Although the final composition of the 9th Army Corps has yet to be confirmed, it appears that the army’s transition to a corps-based structure has now entered its last step. We can expect to see further reports and details regarding the composition of each Ukrainian Army Corps in the near future.
