The 5th Tank Brigade, the newest tank unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, has been restructured into a heavy mechanized brigade. It becomes the third such unit within the Ground Forces, following the transformations of the 17th Tank Brigade and the 117th Mechanized Brigade. I wonder what kind of structural changes will that entail. The 17th Brigade has 2 Tank, 2 Mechanized and 2 Rifle Battalions now, but the 117th Brigade stayed pretty much the same.
