Additional Army Corps Units Surface

As the Armed Forces continue transitioning to the Army Corps system, additional Army Corps formations have been identified, including one that has been officially disclosed.

Thanks to the collective work of our contributors on Discord, we have new information that the 14th and 16th Army Corps are now in the process of formation. Once again, little is known about the corps. According to Horyn.info, Oleksandr Yarmoshevich, previously deputy commander of the 5th Heavy Mechanized Brigade and the 156th Mechanized Brigade, was appointed to a command position in the newly formed 14th Army Corps in February 2025.

The 16th Army Corps, on the other hand, was officially revealed to have an insignia and a motto. The insignia displays the traditional Ground Forces emblem, being split vertically into red and green. The central element of the insignia contains a silver cross and crossed arrows, alongside a stylized shield and a bow and arrow. The motto of the Army Corps reads on a tab above the insignia “Progredere Ne Regredere”, a Latin phrase translating to “Advance, Not Retreat” in English. The bow and arrow, featured on Kharkiv’s first coat of arms, symbolize the city’s heritage and indicate that the Army Corps formation originates from Kharkiv. A similar design can also be seen on the insignia of the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade.

This is the first time this insignia has been shown, redrawn in high definition – by Davomme, and first published on MilitaryLand.

According to our sources, this Army Corps was established based on the 92nd Assault Brigade of the Ground Forces, which is also from Kharkiv Oblast is rumored to serve as a basis for a new army corps formation.
