156th Infantry Brigade becomes mechanized

Another infantry brigade has been reformed into a mechanized unit.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have restructured another infantry brigade into a mechanized unit. Just yesterday, we reported on the 157th Infantry Brigade’s transition to mechanized status. Today, official information confirms that the 156th Infantry Brigade has also been reformed into a mechanized brigade.

The brigade has unveiled a new insignia via their newly established Facebook page.

With this change, only one brigade in the 150 series, the 158th Infantry Brigade, remains an infantry unit. It’s expected that this brigade will also transition to mechanized status in the near future.

But when are the rains supposed to arrive?
The Russian pace shows no signs of slowing down.

Indeed, it’s gonna be another month with gains surpassing 300km2 and maybe setting a record.

I hope this means that Ukraine does has more IFVs, APCs and Tanks then. Just calling them “mechanized” without giving them the appropriate heavy equipment would be an unnecessary PR-stunt.

Yeh they should get some armoured tracked vehicles otherwise they wouldn’t really be mechanized.
