The 801st detachment is an elite unit of combat swimmers. It was located in Crimea and after the annexation of the peninsula 2014 only 7 out of 80 soldiers moved with the unit to Odesa. The main tasks of the unit are the protection of naval bases and counter-sabotage in the sea.
