About Unit

Myrotvorets Battalion is a unit of Special Tasks Patrol Police, originally formed as a battalion in May 2014.

On August 7, 2015, the unit was reformed into a regiment. Police units Kyivshina, Harpoon and part of Tornado battalions joined the regiment.

The regiment was partially demobilized and reformed back to battalion in 2019.

On the eve of Russian Invasion on February 24, 2022, part of the battalion was stationed near the border north of Kyiv.

In 2023, the battalion was reorganized as a separate unit under the command of the newly formed Lyut Brigade.
