About Unit

137th Marine Battalion is a separate unit of the Marine Corps, currently under the command of 35th Marine Brigade. The battalion was formed in the fall of 2015, and was later deployed to Donbas. In 2018, 35th Marine Brigade was formed on its basis, but the battalion remained as a separate entity.

On the eve of Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the battalion was the only unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stationed on the border with occupied Crimea.
