172nd Territorial Defense Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces.
It was formed and assigned to the 120th Territorial Defense Brigade.
In 2025, the battalion became defunct and was reformed as the 5th Linear Battalion of the 120th Territorial Defense Brigade.
