About Unit

Pahonia Regiment was a volunteer Belarusian unit fighting against the Russian invasion forces. The unit was formed on the basis of Pahonia Detachment, which existed in 2014 – 2016.

In June 2022, fighters of the regiment signed a contract with Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO), and the regiment was reformed into Special Purpose Regiment Pahonia. However, in the autumn of 2022, the deputy commander left the unit, the aerial reconnaissance unit of the regiment joined Kalinouski Regiment, and the unit slowly started to fade away.

In July 2023, Radio Free Europe reported that the unit ceased to exist.
