About Unit

On February 24, the brigade was stationed in the area of Vyshorod and was tasked to protect Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant.

In January 2023, the brigade was reformed into an assault brigade under the Offensive Guard program and received the nickname Bureviy.

Insignia

The brigade’s sleeve insignia featuring the heraldic symbolism of Hetman Petro Doroshenko’s coat of arms. The main elements—a cross and a crescent—are placed within a heraldic shield, beneath which lies a Cossack saber, the primary cold weapon of the Cossacks. The Cossack cross is one of the most well-known symbols of Ukrainian knighthood and the military, while the crescent represents the ability to fight at night.
