About Unit

34th Separate Regiment is a military unit of Ukrainian National Guard. The unit was formed in 1992 as 8th Battalion of the National Guard. In 1995, the battalion was reformed under the command of Internal Troops as 16th Battalion, and in 2014 transferred to the recreated National Guard. In December 2023, the battalion was expanded, and 34th Regiment was formed on its basis.
