About Unit

69th Rifle Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

The unit was formed in June 2022, several months after the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In late 2022, the unit was attached to the legendary 93rd Mechanized Brigade, where it would fight in the Battle of Bakhmut, where it would face heavy resistance.

On February 23, 2023, the unit was disbanded, and presumably, its remaining personnel were reassigned amongst various units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

Later, it would be known that some of its former personnel were assigned to the Anti-Tank Company of the 117th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
