45th Motorized Battalion was a separate unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. The unit was formed in August 2014 on the territory of 203rd Training Aviation Brigade. The main task of the battalion was protection of Chuhuiv Airfield in Kharkiv Oblast. In December 2014, the unit was reformatted into a motorized battalion under the command of 92nd Mechanized Brigade (now 92nd Assault Brigade).
In 2016, guards battalion of 43rd Artillery Brigade was formed on its basis and the unit ceased to exist as a separate entity.
