The battalion was a separate unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine.
Established in April 2022, the next month was deployed to the Bakhmut area, where it fough up to July.
From September 6 to October 2, 2022, the battalion participated in the ukranian Kharkiv counteroffensive.
Since December 2022, the battalion had been continuously involved in defensive operations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
In July 2025, the battalion was reformed into the linear motorized battalion of the 115th Mechanized Brigade, and ceased to exist as a separate unit.
