247th Territorial Defense Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
It was formed and assigned to the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade in March 2022, immediately following the beginning of the full-scale invasion, it was predominantly made up of local volunteers who wanted to defend the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast.
In 2024, the battalion was transferred to the Ukrainian Ground Forces, alongside the rest of the battalion’s subordinate to the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade. The brigade was reformed as the 127th Heavy Mechanized Brigade in 2025.
In 2025, the battalion became defunct and was reformed as the linear Rifle Battalion of the 127th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
