211th Special Purpose Battalion was a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. Formed shortly after Russia’s full-scale invasion, it originated from the Voluntary Formation of Territorial Community No. 3, which had defended Sumy from the first days of the conflict. In 2024, the battalion was integrated into the 47th Mechanized Brigade.
On June 30, 2025, a linear motorized battalion of 47th Mechanized Brigade was formed on its basis and the unit ceased to exist as a separate entity.
