About Unit

17th Motorized Battalion was a battalion of the Ground Forces of Ukraine under the command of 57th Motorized Brigade. The unit was created in 2014 as 17th Battalion of Territorial Defense “Kirovohrad”. In November 2014, the battalion was reformed into 17th Motorized Battalion.

In September 2025, the battalion was disbanded, and 1st Motorized Battalion of 57th Motorized Brigade formed on its basis.
