Motorized Infantry
12th Motorized Battalion was a separate unit of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. The battalion was formed in May 2014 as 12th Battalion of Territorial Defense Kyiv from the residents of Kyiv Oblast. In October 2014, the unit was reformatted into a motorized battalion under the command of 26th Artillery Brigade, and later to 72nd Mechanized Brigade.
In 2018, the unit was reformed into a linear motorized battalion of 72nd Mechanized Brigade and the unit ceased to exist as a separate entity.
