Сухопутні війська продовжують розширюватися
Розширення українських сухопутних військ, здається, не зупинити, оскільки нові бригади з'являються буквально щодня. Кількість нових бригад зараз фактично ставить питання про їхнє оснащення. Якщо всі нещодавно створені бригади будуть сформовані у повному складі, Україні потрібні тисячі бойових машин піхоти, бронетранспортерів і танків для їхнього озброєння.
13-та єгерська бригада - нова мисливська бригада, що спеціалізується на лісових та болотистих місцевостях.

22-га механізована бригада - абсолютно нову механізовану бригаду. Інших подробиць про підрозділ наразі не відомо.
88-а механізована бригада - ще одна нова механізована бригада з досить цікавим вибором номера, оскільки 80-ті роки в основному зарезервовані для десантно-штурмових військ.

I wouldn’t call it “interesting”, but “connoted”. They should have skip that number.

Anyway, that’s 13 new brigades, I hope it means thet Ukrainians got more equipment than anounced from Western countries. If not, those new brigades will be under-equipped.
I know, and it didn’t come to my mind until you hint it.
1) It makes a lot of sense to not announce the real amount of help send, e.g. disinformation for Russia.
2) It could make sense to disinform/scare Russia with “forming” of “empty” brigades.
3) To manage escalation, it would make sense to split support announcements in smaller parts, upscale it slowly.

Plus there are 8 “offensive guard” brigades, but I am not sure they can be counted as new since they are formed from existing units.
I agree. It’s just fodder for Russia and they really should stop the use of those symbols. Putin can always point at them and his propaganda exaggerate the usage and frame everyone that fight for an independent Ukraine as nazis. It’s also undermines the will to support Ukraine. People in the west are seeing this and wonder if they are being fooled. I hear this everyday at work.

It’s not the question of “if” there are far-right fighters, because there are far-right/nationalistic battalions. It’s the scale that is being overexaggerated. They are a minority and do not represent the whole of Ukraine nor its government. Look at the 2019 election, They diden’t even made the 3% threshold.
