National Guard Corps units received military numbers

The 1st Azov Corps and 2nd Khartia Corps of the Ukrainian National Guard have been assigned official military unit numbers. This designation confirms their status as independent and legally recognized military entities. It grants them their own military finances, postal addresses, and command authority—including the commander’s right to issue written orders—and establishes their own administrative structures.

The 1st Azov Corps (1-й Корпус Національної Гвардії України «Азов») has been assigned military unit number 4110—a designation previously held by the 42nd Regiment of the Internal Troops of Ukraine, which was based in Sevastopol, Crimea.

The 2nd Khartia Corps (2 Корпус Національної Гвардії України «Хартія»)has received military unit number 4125. This number was previously assigned to the 47th Regiment of the Internal Troops of Ukraine, which was based in the village of Krasnokamyanka in Crimea.

Both units were disbanded in 2014 following the annexation of Crimea and the establishment of the National Guard. However, their military unit numbers remained reserved within the organizational structure. According to Order No. 322 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, dated May 21, 2024, the units continued to be listed within the structure as the 42nd and 47th Regiments of the National Guard. These reserved numbers have now been reassigned to two newly established corps formations.
