Latvia delivers APCs to 3rd Assault Brigade

As part of its latest package of logistical assistance, Latvia has handed over a batch of six-wheeled Patria armored personnel carriers to Ukrainian Defense forces.
The handover ceremony took place during Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa’s working visit to Ukraine. In Kyiv, she met with Ukraine’s Deputy Defence Minister Major Valerii Churkin and Colonel Andrii Biletskyi, commander of the Third Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
During the ceremony, Evika Siliņa stated that this is the first batch of armoured vehicles promised during her previous meeting with the President of Ukraine. She reiterated Latvia’s unwavering support for Ukraine in its fight against the aggressor, and assured that Latvia will continue advocating for this support among European and global leaders.
Andrii Biletskyi stated that the delivered combat vehicles will be assigned to one of the corps’ most effective assault units.
“This is the best, and possibly the newest, equipment the brigade has ever received. These vehicles will save the lives of our soldiers and shorten the lives of the occupiers,” the unit commander noted.
According to Facebook page of 3rd Assault Brigade, this is the brigade that will receive these vehicles.
