CODE 9.2 Grows from Battalion to Regiment

The 475th Assault Battalion, better known to the public as CODE 9.2, has been expanded into a regiment. The change was revealed through the unit’s social media. With this expansion, the regiment leaves the structure of the 92nd Assault Brigade, where it had served since its formation, and joins the newly established Assault Forces branch.

About 475th Assault Regiment

CODE 92 began in 2022 as a reconnaissance platoon within the 92nd Mechanized Brigade, conducting missions on foot. By the end of that year, the unit had started incorporating drones into its operations, gradually shifting from ground-based reconnaissance to aerial surveillance. As the effectiveness of unmanned bombers became clear, the unit expanded to include a dedicated platoon of attack drones. In 2024, it grew into a strike company specializing in unmanned systems, and by 2025 it had developed into a separate assault battalion.
