76th Mechanized Brigade Officially Revealed

The newly raised 76th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces has been officially revealed through its newly created Facebook page, confirming new details about the brigade.
On July 10, 2026, MilitaryLand reported on the formation of the 76th Mechanized Brigade, which became the fourth mechanized brigade to be raised within the Ukrainian Ground Forces that year. Other brigades that have been formed alongside it are the 50th, 55th, and 167th Mechanized Brigade’s.
According to the details of the brigade’s Facebook page, the unit is stationed in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and was formed on July 3, 2026, therefore falling under the jurisdiction of Operational Command North.
This brigade was created during the tenure of former Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, with the formation of the brigade justified on the basis that it will strengthen Ukraine’s northern border against the backdrop of previous tensions with Belarus.
Insignia
The brigade’s social channel also reveals the unit’s insignia, which has been redrawn in high resolution exclusively for MilitaryLand and is appearing here for the first time.

The insignia depicts a traditional chevron with a chino yellow colored border. At its center, the shield is depicted with an olive-green canvas, divided by a wide central vertical stripe in chambray blue. Inside, it consists of a rotated cross, a four-pointed star, and a crescent moon arranged vertically in chino yellow.
Unit’s page of the 76th Mechanized Brigade has been updated to reflect these changes.
