68th Artillery Brigade joins an Army Corps

In August 2025, MilitaryLand reported on the formation of a new artillery brigade within the Ukrainian Ground Forces, the 68th Artillery Brigade. The brigade was confirmed to be created on the basis of one of the subordinate units of the 26th Artillery Brigade, and was forming in the city of Berdychiv, Zhytomyr Oblast.
According to the official Facebook channel of the brigade, the unit has been assigned to the newly formed 21st Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, which has been indicated by the changing of the unit’s profile picture to the army corps insignia. Initially, it was meant to group several territorial defense brigades and form a dedicated territorial defense corps.
However, after some time, it was reassigned to its new branch and includes battle-hardened formations such as the 4th Heavy Mechanized and 93rd Mechanized Brigades. The corps also includes several newly formed units, such as the 152nd Jaeger, 155th Mechanized, and 159th Mechanized Brigades.
